The Chainsmokers & Coldplay - Something Just Like This (Lyric)

I think this music video is so great. So right on and real. I can really see this woman saying this.

One Republic - Counting Stars

I didn't much relate to that last Christmas playlist (see the blog post before). Let's see if I can find something more to my taste. I found something. It doesn't exactly have much to do with Christmas. But it is about finding your direction. I enjoy it and I hope you will like it. It was originally written and sung by Adele. but This group does a sexcellent good version of it. Check it out

A Thank you from Senegal

Update: 2018-01-13 This is a letter I had that I received from a lady from Sénégal.  She was wearing a very severe habit as befits a very devout nun.  Sometimes the impoverished will wear these clothes.  Sometimes women hide the reason they wear the habit. Suffice it to say, I didn't know anything about her and her ways of thinking., only that she was originally from Senegal. As is my custom, upon the occasion of some sort, I gave the lady a present.  It was something made of silver, as I recall. I am very used to people scorning such things from me.  I believe that this stems from the belief that trinkets made of silver or jewelry are useless and even accepting such presents, distracts one from fulfilling really important things: such as building parks and municipal buildings and supporting the high arts and the like.  (Since these people are to be dressed and live a life as austere and impoverished as possible it sometimes occurs to me that they don't have a respect for

Far North and Triple Shift

After lunch, I went straight down to the archives to do a little tidying up. It's funny but the way I have been relaxing from a lot of Christmas-focused activities was to do some other, but more, work. They said that if you are working in the far north there is often nothing for you to do but work. So you are doing a double shift, and triple shift no problem. That way you can have a really long time off in the big city with lots of money to spend.  I guess you can say I am doing double and triple shifts no problem. However, still no money. That's something that weighs heavy on my mind.
