VG16. Winter Exhibition plans and the Holidays. by Kathy Fabian

On Saturday and Friday I went down to the thrift shops to look for ideas for Holiday Season decorations.  I had a large amount of really fine stuff right in my hands when all of a sudden I took a clear look at my financial position.  Gingerly I put the stuff back and started thinking how to keep the costs down for Holiday Season spending this year.

I came up with an idea to rely as much as possible on material that I print out from my machine. Cutting the work load also results in less spending.  So this year I am not going to do a special Holiday Seasons Exhibition.

Instead I am going to start the winter exhibit a couple of weeks before the Holiday Season starts. At the same time I will be including hand made ornaments to decorate the images.  These images will be composed of store Christmas ornaments mixed with my art work.

This is the idea I came up with so Saturday studio time was spent getting the Winter Art out of storage and looking for old card images that I could use.  I have already compiled some card images from past seasons but I wanted a good selection of my work and work from others as well.

Filming:

I woke up bright a early on Saturday morning with all sorts of plans about pricing and custom made packages. The night before I listen to Nathalie MacNeil who says now is the time to work with videos.   this gave me the incentive to make a good video for the Holiday Season.

Although the ideas and the desire to communicate were all in place it took a little time to place the camera for the best angle of myself and the Rose Studio.  I also had a little trouble finding the right lighting so that there was not too much glare.

Finally I came up with looks to be a good film.  I still have to do the final processing for it though.

Well the laundry's done. I have two pairs of kicky pajama bottoms waiting to be worn now. We are talking pink leopard and monkeys on a purple background. The dishwasher is out for a couple of days now and we have been eating on paper plates so I am going to look for a nice place to have my lunch today. I have a selection of three restos in mine: French, Brazilian and a coffee with a winning menu.  After that, I am going to go pick up a couple of pastries for tonight and f or Christmas morning. Talking about the French resto, they have some beautiful, decorative pastries. I only hope they are open. Meanwhile, this being the 24th I am going to go back to bed for a bit before I get dressed to search our sustenance.  Meanwhile, why not pick up some Christmas images from Bieber. By the way, what does shawty mean? He says that a lot in the song.

The book I am reading says to practice making a creative  marketing strategy by using other products. this one is an online newspaper ad.  here goes: The purpose of Clearosil Perfecto wash advertising is to show that the user of this soap will have clear skin no matter what kind of food she eats.  So she can go out with all sorts of great looking people and eat fabulous junk food. This will be accomplished by first of all using very beautiful model in attractive surroundings and making it look very easy and practical to just use the soap and get rid of all potential problems.  The product's convenient aspect is enhanced by a very modern looking funky dispenser that gives the soap with very little effort. The ad will be humorous and the models will maintain her good looks no matter what even if an accident happens: like her hat is taken off by the fan. Birthday Itinerary on the LIke-a-thon

And what am I going to do today? I am glad you asked. First thing I am going to have breakfast at the wonderfully designed new restaurant down the street. I dare not tell you the name because I want to have a place. If I told you well then you might be one of the multitude of fans that take the tables instead of me. So, in to the shower and then I am off to the races. (did you join my event) What? Not yet? Well now's the time.
