Good day Dear Reader, How are you this bright and cold Saturday?  I find myself at home with a good solid cold.  Thats okay because I have taken advantage to use the time at home and buy all the stuff that I need for the medical cabinet.  I have everything up to date and I am chock full of cough drops, cough syrup, decongestitants and pain killers.  A brand new humidifier is now mine as well.  I remember when I was a child my mother put one in my room. The humidity was supposed to help unstuff the nose. Anyways all this resting has resulted in myself being bright and bushy tailed in the middle of the night.  Like an old friend, I go to the computer and catch up on my writing. I got up good and early this Saturday to do the studio work.  My mind was clear and I was ready to roll.  I had been having trouble with buying a new program for charting on Google Play.  Since Google support was busy for a while I figured calling on Saturday might get me someone to speak to.  I mean there are only technicians and fools working on Saturday morning nine o'clock.  Once that was done, I would really go for some devastating beautiful photo-montages. So I got the technical support on line.  And then I was transferred to someone else.  And then they had to check out the protocol.  And by the time the whole thing was solved the morning was gone.  Well, it wasn't solved but I would speak to the tech next week (it was the weekend).  So the morning flew by and I had some errands to do and by the time I got to do some studio work it was night time. Hello Dear Readers, A Little Background about Me: I was part of the New Renaissance.   In the historical Renaissance period world travel was considered part of any elegant young gentleman's education.  A couple of years ago I encountered a subculture of men and women dressed in clothes that would make them fit in from work to a party and the night life beyond.  The clothes also were international.  You could wear them in any culture.  As luck would have it, I sometimes accompanied these men and women in their world travels and got to experience the culture of many lands. So I went into my archives to find some images with splendid autumn foliage.  Saturday I reserved for studio work .  I had been tidying up my collection of muses and had a few lovely ladies ready to star in my photographic extravaganzas.  The final element was the inclusion of the very expensive, very evident presence of construction in the neighborhood. So the first week of setting up the exhibition did not make the deadline.   It was supposed to be all done on Saturday and I was putting the finishing touches to the frame on the Friday afterwards.  Obviously I had bitten off more than I could chew. They say if your task takes too much time then divide your task into smaller tasks. Val Gal exhibitions are actually two in one.  There is the real world exhibition that takes place on the Second floor of our residence.  This is not open to the public. But I hope to gain fame and resources from the Second Exhibition of Val Gal.  I regularly record the Exhibitions on line. Studio work is planned for Saturdays.  Thats when I create collages, or videos, or digitally worked images.  Framing stuff is for this day too. Of course, I work on Val Gal on Saturdays.  If a photograph is not strong enough in the exhibit it will be Saturday when I sort it out of the machine. But to do this stuff sometimes take preparation.  Whether or not I do preparatory work during the week depends how busy it is.  Or how impatient I am to get things done. Lets take an example.  I have been mounting the new exhibition since the beginning of September. Since the first day of the season is usually around the twentieth of the month , this gives me three weeks to hang.  I do everything solo so I have to  make choices.  I figure if the public Corridor gallery is hung up and ready I am on schedule.  The Rose Studio Gallery is open only to serious buyers and to those who I take on a Gallery Tour.  All this to say there were ten work...

Saturday is Studio work day.  Since I had not done any photographing the opening last week, I started with the idea to film the work that is presently on display in Val Gal.  I had a brand new Optex PRT50 Summit Tripod to try out first.  The tripod was bought last Monday but I wanted to read the instructions and assemble it without breaking anything. So it stood carefully placed in its box in a corner of Rose Room.  Saturday morning was the first time I could bring myself to even attempt it.  I opened the box carefully and found no instructions.  A search on line to register the tripod bore no fruit.  the best I could was find it listed in the store products and sign up for the eletters on the store.  It said on the box, in big letters, five year guarantee, so I suppose I have to keep the store receipt.  There is no other proof of purchase. Taken from Facebook: What a day! Well Happy Autumn to all. And to celebrate I have a brand new Collection of Art at Val Gal . The name in English did not translate to French well so I had to change it. It is now Autumn Leaves: New City. In Autumn Mother earth prepares us for the colder days by displaying on a whole different color. The world is full of rust and orange and scarlet red leaves.And right near us the city is preparing for the winter by doing construction work on the roads. And th ats the subject of the exposition: Autumn leaves and New projects for the city. The ladies of our residence had many compliments for the new exhibition. There was much talk of my going to display in a gallery outside the house. But I have been told the first thing to get is a good solid lawyer.
