Val Gal

After lunch, I went straight down to the archives to do a little tidying up. It's funny but the way I have been relaxing from a lot of Christmas-focused activities was to do some other, but more, work. They said that if you are working in the far north there is often nothing for you to do but work. So you are doing a double shift, and triple shift no problem. That way you can have a really long time off in the big city with lots of money to spend.  I guess you can say I am doing double and triple shifts no problem. However, still no money. That's something that weighs heavy on my mind.

I also winterized the Facebook Art Fabian Company page at   https://www.facebook.com/TheArtFabianCompany/ .  Actually it's not specifically for winter. The jewel featured in the image is part of my personal collection and was acquired in a little sale put on by the Franciscans. I really liked the work but it focused on religious symbols. I am not into symbols at this time so we had it removed.  I have to admit, it looked better with the symbol but eventually, I hope to replace the little charm with one of my own choosing.

I have winterized is my personal Facebook page incorporating a jewel from my collection. It's just for the Holiday season. 2017-08-19 Dear Pinterest, Thank you very much for your discrete letter informing me about you removing a pin due to Copyright issues.  I would rather a pin with copyright issues be removed as quickly as possible so that I will not have to be subjected to the unpleasantness related to being sued for such issues.  Right now, I use only my own images to develop (I am an artist) as well as images free to use, modify and share commercial according to the Bing creative copyright filter.  I also use images under the public domain.  I did not know How to find out about copyright issues before I got to Bing filter so right now I have some images that I developed before in which I do not know how to check this problem out. They are actually in my archives. I must state, for the records, that sometimes I find all this research confusing and I get mixed up and might use the wrong image. The Blue Corridor Gallery has been freshly painted and has been out of commission for 15 days now approximately. By request of the administration, I am starting to place the Blue Corridor exhibit. The exhibition pieces have been put in storage in several places in the residence. Bright and early this morning I started to place the pieces that were on the floor in the spots I would like the nail to be hung. I am having breakfast now and when the meal is finished I look forward to placing the rest of the works and they have been hidden in my locker. I have to go fishing for them now. Since we are functioning solely we have had very little expertise as to how to choose images from the web so as not to hassle with copyright issues. It has taken a fair amount of time to find the filter application int the Bing.com site.  Finally, we have found a site that filters out problems with the copyright. If we choose our images within the public domain we are free to share, use commercially and modify these images. I continue my new project called Art as a Present.  First of all I have started a facebook page for this purpose (go to https:// www.facebook.com/ArtasaPresent /).  I will be mailing Art Fabian Company Patrons and Friends  presents from a Company collection.  Maybe it will be an original artwork on a card through the regular mail.  Or perhaps a four by six inch photograph from the Valuable Gallery collection.  Some people will get an online work update from  the company that will feature a private selection of prints chosen for that month. It is not the most pleasant feeling to give out artwork but since I am not selling at least the works will circulate  instead of staying hidden.  Perhaps this feeling of unpleasantness is for the better.  I have all the documents from my parents estate comfortably installed in the Rose Studio. Tomorrow is the first day of spring. Unlike the other seasons of the Valuable Gallery we will not be starting a new seasonal exhibit.  Instead we are going to concentrate on refining one permanent collection.   The Corridor Gallery is to inspire calm and direction since the exhibition pieces are in a corridor which is on the way to somewhere. It is a gallery that encourages one to feel confidence as it leads the person back to their own space. I have been finishing some drawings from my Madonna on the Outside Collection. Deciding the Weekend Work Plan. I had been  devoting Saturdays to the Valuable Gallery and Sundays to the Art Fabian Company Outreach.  The Outreach is a program in which I reach out to important patrons and friends in the community.  They could be local business of note or people on my birthday list.  The plan is that each month ten individuals are chosen and they are given a personally written letter by myself.  This is to establish good relations between myself and my Company and the community around us. I was surprised to see how late in the month we were when I was deciding what to schedule in for Saturday Gallery work.  I had also had a little trouble meeting the deadline for the January Outreach.  So I decided to start working on the February Outreach in the morning on Saturday.  I would see how far I had gotten and would decide the next move when I broke for lunch. The Art Moi Inventory app is getting easier to use. This encouraged me to really start finishing the Madonna Collection.  The Madonna Collection is a series of photographs and sketches that span several decades.  The Madonna Artworks were created in the 1980's but were never finished.  The Madonna photographs are being created right now.  This is what I was working on during the week. The Madonna artworks are mostly in black and white and were created during the musical era of Blondie and Madonna. A new guiding idea Last Saturday I got up with a new guiding idea: Do things slower, better and more simply. I had been running like a chicken with its head cut off to film Valuable Gallery Exhibits in my spare time.  This had to change.  So I decided to spend less time making the exhibit perfect, perfect and more time in a holistic approach to the project.  In other words, the online part of the exhibit would be just as important as the actual private exhibit in the Corridor Hallway. Separating Set-up Time and Online Time Practically I had to  cut the setup time in half and work with the filming and cataloguing time in the other half of the period. Remember that the Valuable Gallery exhibitions follow the change of seasons: that is summer, fall, winter and spring.  So for half of the spring time for example, I would refine the exhibit onsite.  that is I would work with the images that were better and I would perhaps change the images that had s...

Continuing the Gallery with a Steep Cut in Income I started the new year with a steep cut in my living income.  The question is how to continue working on the gallery without spending as much money as I have in the past.  As I pass the artwork in the Corridor Lobby I see quite a lot of work to do without even having to frame the picture. Just after breakfast today, I cleaned up the identity tags.  there were some from last exhibit and some had not been installed yet.  That done I changed the position of two exhibits that had been not properly placed. I have received a few beautiful tapestries that I want to hang up.  But they are still in storage.  I also have two frames that are not finished.  I have been waiting until my budget permits.  Also, I have been working on inventory with an app I found called ArtMoi.com.  One of my drawings would fit nicely into one of the frames.  So I will work on that today. It all started when I wanted to change my small square image for the Winter Exhibition.  the task was supposed to take five minutes.  I would make a fresh collage.  Everything was prepared.  And just scoot the thing in.  All done. Unfortunately it did not turn out that way. First of all there was a Holiday Season decoration still installed on the picture.  So that had to come off.  And if I was going to take it off I had to film it.  This work was in the Rose Studio and the ornament was not just any ornament, it was chandelier inspired with real chandelier crystal integrated into it.  So I had to take a picture of it. And if I had to take a picture of it then I had to install the proper set up to that the light and shadows worked.  And if I took the trouble to do that then maybe I should film All the other ornaments from the Holidays.  And before I did that, I had to finish some with some new crystals that I had gotten. The Magic Space Holiday Exhibit is over and Val Gal starts the Winter Exhibit. Val Gal is not just a simple gallery.  It is a gallery in a women's residence that emphasizes rest and inspiration. So all of the images are created to create a sense of calm and good feeling. Last year the popular series of "Creative Muses" appeared on site. These magical muses start to appear in regular neighborhood scenes.  They are created from the positive energy a busy neighborhood gives out when work is being done.  When I introduced the Creative Muses I was banking on the tendency of the women in this residence to escape into the world of film, news, movies and fantasies.  I imagined that they would love to meet some of the creatures that populate the popular film for example. Studio Work Saturday: Morning Saturday I usually go thrifting but the store was closed that day.  I had gone to the pharmacy on Boxing Day and the place was in a chocolate frenzy.  The chocolate had been slashed to half price and people were running around with tons of chocolate.  There were lots of people and they were spending like crazy.  So much chocolate did some customers have, I thought they would die soon from chocolate overdose. I had gone to the pharmacy for a completely other reason. I just watched the people go for the candy and left. But the experience haunted me.  I had met Jane Fonda pretty recently and she had had one of her most lavish dreams granted.  Just like me, she was told to eat chocolates when she had no energy.  And like me, because chocolates make you fat, she bought the cheapest chocolates she could find. After all the hurrying I did for Christmas Day I thought that I would just do some tidying up online a little before I started my Studio Work this Saturday.  I thought,  it would just take one second.  I would go to the proper file, and put the Pen and Ink Drawings onto my Wealthy Art sight. Unfortunately it took almost all day to find the files.  I remember doggedly going onto the computer late at night still nervous about some missing files.  So this prompted me into a frenzy of organizing my files, both paper and online that is still going on now (Tuesday). I had the day all planned. First I would take down the little dog under the mistletoe which is very Christmassy and replace him with the "Ballerina and Time" (a collage done by myself).
