V32. A Winter Gift: A new Selection of Exhibit Photographs. by Kathy Vivian Fabian

A new guiding idea Last Saturday I got up with a new guiding idea: Do things slower, better and more simply. I had been running like a chicken with its head cut off to film Valuable Gallery Exhibits in my spare time.  This had to change.  So I decided to spend less time making the exhibit perfect, perfect and more time in a holistic approach to the project.  In other words, the online part of the exhibit would be just as important as the actual private exhibit in the Corridor Hallway. Separating Set-up Time and Online Time Practically I had to  cut the setup time in half and work with the filming and cataloguing time in the other half of the period. Remember that the Valuable Gallery exhibitions follow the change of seasons: that is summer, fall, winter and spring.  So for half of the spring time for example, I would refine the exhibit onsite.  that is I would work with the images that were better and I would perhaps change the images that had s...

VG19. WIcked New Cut. Working on the Holiday Giveaway and Exhibit

Hello Dear Reader, How are you today?  What are you doing to prepare for the Festive Season?  Have you gotten your signature haircut?  Or a new jacket perhaps?  Perhaps you have gone for a relaxing and beautifying spa treatment.  Why don't you tell the world what you did at www.facebook.com/theartfabiancompany ? Be sure to write down the name of the specialist you went to and how to reach them to book an appointment. At Art Fabian Co. excitement mounts as the Holiday Season approaches. This is a very busy time for Art Fabian Co. and I start preparations with a wicked new Haircut from the prize winning Oblic Salon Urbain Spa . (and maybe a little too dark lipstick but I am not sure). Also,  I am creating  a Creative Muses Collection just for Holiday Season 2015 and  there is new stuff arriving everyday to give out at the Val Gal  Holiday Season Give-Away.  K.V. talks about them in this film. You will be noticing that s...

VG17. Autoportraits in the Morning

Good day Dear Reader, How are you this bright and cold Saturday?  I find myself at home with a good solid cold.  Thats okay because I have taken advantage to use the time at home and buy all the stuff that I need for the medical cabinet.  I have everything up to date and I am chock full of cough drops, cough syrup, decongestitants and pain killers.  A brand new humidifier is now mine as well.  I remember when I was a child my mother put one in my room. The humidity was supposed to help unstuff the nose. Anyways all this resting has resulted in myself being bright and bushy tailed in the middle of the night.  Like an old friend, I go to the computer and catch up on my writing. But enough of myself, let me tell you about my new Autoportrait.  You can see it at: https://www.facebook.com/ArtFabianFineArtPhotographs/photos/a.273822086128660.1073741825.273817616129107/498789763631890/?type=3&theater Invite me into your home without too much tro...

VG16. Winter Exhibition plans and the Holidays. by Kathy Fabian

On Saturday and Friday I went down to the thrift shops to look for ideas for Holiday Season decorations.  I had a large amount of really fine stuff right in my hands when all of a sudden I took a clear look at my financial position.  Gingerly I put the stuff back and started thinking how to keep the costs down for Holiday Season spending this year. I came up with an idea to rely as much as possible on material that I print out from my machine. Cutting the work load also results in less spending.  So this year I am not going to do a special Holiday Seasons Exhibition. Instead I am going to start the winter exhibit a couple of weeks before the Holiday Season starts. At the same time I will be including hand made ornaments to decorate the images.  These images will be composed of store Christmas ornaments mixed with my art work. This is the idea I came up with so Saturday studio time was spent getting the Winter Art out of storage and looking for old card images t...
