Financial Plan
The financial
situation still remains pretty much the same. So far no sales.
Possible directions I
will going in the foreseeable future involve the payment of small fees. I
have been checking out the art resources available to see what to do to upgrade
the situation.
RAAV.Org REGROUPEMENT DES ARTISTES EN ARTS VISUELS DU
QUEBEC has increased their membership fee to $120.00. InfoEntrerpreneurs said
that they have a legal clinic but there is a fee of $65.00 an hour. I have also contacted Yes (Montreal Youth
employment Services). They have services available for entrepreneurs and
artists of all ages but I must attend a workshop first. Then I can access their legal and counselling
clinics if I pay a onetime fee of $30.00.
Finally I noticed that I have a pretty thorough online backup of my
photographs with Sony PlayStation but the line that says the name of the
photographer is always left blank. So I
will be checking out how much it will cost to have this signed with my
name. This seems to be very important.
I must say that these
directions to look into but I am reluctant to work with these small sums of
money as there seems to be room for a considerable amount of small
payments. And these start to add up
rather fast. The game is to choose sparingly and choose wisely. Also a thing to
consider at this stage is that time is also very sparse. That means that lots of small transactions
are perhaps the wrong way to go. It is
better to spend once and to spend large and to have something important done.
So far the lawyer I
contacted has given me the most thorough cost/time estimate. So I will be using this schedule as a
guideline for finding and establishing resources such as a librarian and a
photo-studio, exhibition space, etc. The lawyer said that I must come to the
table with a business plan as well as a list of my blogs so I will be getting
these things in order. It seems that the
beginning of the summer quarterly will be refining and creating some documents
necessary for an artist.
I will be checking the
resources available in the community in case a certain sum of money or support
comes in. I have received a cost/time
estimate for legal fees to consolidate my company and I have technically the
money to pay. But it is a large
percentage of the money I have saved at this time so I will wait until I have
backing and the support to pay it. I
stick true to the model of a lean start-up.
I will spend as little money as possible on the business. And when the
money comes in I will spend like crazy.
But to spend like crazy one has to know where the money will go. And this involves researching the resources
available.
Although there is a
lot of work to be done in refining my work, priority will be given to getting
all the documentation in order in case of sponsorship. If and when I have a financial backer or I
make some money, I will know where it will go and will act immediately
